Beauty Mistakes you may not Know About
2/25/2015

How many hours have you spent working on your makeup? If you’re like many women, you don’t really want to count up the amount of time you’ve spent looking into a mirror while trying to use a tiny brush to give your eyelashes a bit of definition. You may think you know exactly how makeup works, even if you haven’t spent that much time doing it, but a lot of ladies would be surprised at just how many common makeup mistakes they’re actually making every day.

Using the same eyeliner on the top and bottom of your eyelids – this actually makes your eyes look way too dark. Instead of using the same color, use a darker color on top and a lighter color on the bottom, or don’t use any eyeliner on the bottom at all. Also, don’t go around the entire eye. This looks unnatural and draws attention away from the rest of your beautiful face.

Don’t go overboard. If you want to really make your lips stand out with a bold lipstick color, then go easy on your eyes and cheeks. If you’re going for that blushing look, try a lighter shade for your lips. Doing bold makeup all over your face can make you look crazy.

You can over-wash your skin, especially your face. It can be difficult to figure out how much is too much, but if you start seeing flaky skin or feel like your face is really dry after you put on your foundation, you’re probably washing your face too often. Your skin’s natural oils aren’t able to accumulate on the skin, so it’s actually not being moisturized even though you’re washing it a lot. Wash your face before you go to bed to get all of your makeup off of it, but you don’t necessarily need to wash it during the morning or at any point during the day.
