Celebrities and Blow Dry Bars
2/24/2015

Blow dry bars have become the next major thing in hairstyling. Instead of seeing a hairstylist, these salons are operated by blow dry experts who give you a great blow out. This makes your hair look amazing, and it only takes a few minutes—some blow dry bars do wash your hair, but others simply use a blow dryer to blow it out and style it. It’s quick, it makes you look great, and it’s fairly inexpensive.

Many celebrities go to blow dry bars to keep their hair looking great even when they’re just going out to shop or walk their dogs. Blow dry bars give them looks that are almost as glamorous as those they can get from their hair and makeup professionals. Some celebrities have even decided to get into the business themselves. Gwyneth Paltrow is one of these actresses.

Paltrow has joined forces with David Babaii, a hairstylist who often works with the top stars in Hollywood on film and television shows. The two have joined Blo Blow Dry Bar, one of the first blow dry bars to open in the U.S. There are now more than 40 Blo locations, and having Paltrow and Babaii on board and operating one of the franchises is sure to increase the brand’s recognition.

But they will do more than just provide their names and faces to Blo. CEO Ari Yakobson plans to work with Babaii to add some of the techniques and methods he uses to prepare stars for the red carpet into Blo’s regular offerings.

Paltrow isn’t the only celebrity getting into the blow dry bar game. Famous fashion stylist and reality TV star Rachel Zoe has opened one in New York City, while fitness entrepreneur/author Tracy Anderson has joined Paltrow in partnering with Blo. With the popularity of blow dry bars increasing, chances are they won’t be the only celebrities to get into this industry.
