Reasons to Take Off Work and Go to a Spa
1/14/2015

Do you need a day at the spa but can’t figure out how to justify it? Going to a day spa can certainly improve your work, health, and your overall mood, so you should certainly think about finding time to go to one. Here are a few reasons why you should take off work and go to the spa.

• You’ll be less stressed, which means the quality of your work will improve. Many people need to take a day or two just to recharge before diving back in.
• It’s a change of pace. If you’ve been working almost non-stop, taking a day off to go to a completely different environment can be just what you need to come back to work with renewed energy.
• It’s good for your health, too—you may be having tension headaches due to stress, or maybe you haven’t been able to sleep very well because you’ve had so much on your mind. A good massage and day relaxing will help with that.
• A day off may help cut off any major work burnout that’s coming your way. Everyone feels burnt out every now and then, but it can be especially bad if you’ve been working a lot. Taking a day can help you deal with that.
• You may solve work issues while relaxing. A change of environment and focus can give your subconscious time to work on those particularly difficult projects you’ve been dealing with. Who knows, you may suddenly realize how to completely rework your project budget in the middle of a seaweed wrap.
• You’ll feel that spring in your step again. Spas often work to build people back up after they’ve been worn down. You may feel lighter than you have in weeks after a good hot stone massage.

These are just a few reasons why a day spa can be a great idea. So go ahead and take that mental health day! You deserve it!
