Shampoo for Dry and Fine Hair

If you have fine and/or dry hair, you’re going to have to be very careful with it. This type of hair is very easy to damage. That’s why it’s very important that you use the right products on your hair. Not all shampoo and conditioner are going to work for fine and dry hair. In fact, some may dry it out even more, which means it’s going to break more often. Your hairstylist may recommend certain products if your hair seems to be dry or really fine. Here are a few things they might suggest.

If your hair is dry, it’s probably also very brittle and breaks easily. To combat this, you’re going to want to use a shampoo that has a moisturizing agent in it. This will help provide the moisture that your hair is obviously not getting. There are a number of different types of moisturizing shampoos out there, and there are a number of different moisturizing agents, too. One of the best is OFPMA, a specially type of molecule that will hydrate your hair. Another ingredient to look for is argan oil, a type of oil that helps to hydrate and soften brittle hair.

For fine, thin hair, you’re going to want to try to add more body to it. However, there are a number of volumizing products that also make your hair heavier, and you don’t really want that. You may have to try a few different volumizers until you find one that works for you. Be sure to look for products that are labeled specifically for fine hair. Many will help stimulate the hair follicles and provide additional nutrients to your hair.

If you have fine hair, you’re also going to want to look for a dry conditioner. This type of conditioner is added after you get out of the shower and dry your hair. It will help preserve your volume throughout the day.
