Skin Care Tips for Good Feeling Skin
2/24/2015

Taking care of your skin is absolutely vital. It’s the body’s biggest organ, and if you don’t keep it healthy, you’ll start to look older, feel worse, and even get sick more often. Here are a few different great skin care tips for good feeling skin that the day spa experts recommend to their clients.

Get a good night’s sleep. If you’re tired, you’re going to look tired. Bags under your eyes, wrinkles, and dull skin can all come from not getting enough sleep. Even using different kinds of creams and lotions isn’t a substitute for sleep. This isn’t just a skin care tip, either—your body needs a regular amount of sleep in order to function.

If you’re going to be out in the sun for long periods of time, be certain to wear sunscreen. If you don’t, your skin is going to burn, and a horrible sunburn is more than just painful. It can lead to premature wrinkles and can even result in skin cancer. Stay in the shade or wear a sunscreen that is rated SPF 15 at a minimum.

Eat a small bit of dark chocolate on a regular basis. The idea that chocolate causes pimples has absolutely no basis in fact—it’s more or less a skincare myth. However, eating dark chocolate is a great way of getting antioxidants. As long as you don’t overdo it, there’s no reason not to eat a little bit of this treat regularly. The antioxidants can help keep your skin looking younger, plus it tastes good.

Stay hydrated. The skin needs a good amount of water, but most people don’t get the required six to eight standard glasses of water they need to drink. If your skin feels dry all the time, you may need to drink more water. Sodas, teas, coffee, and other beverages won’t do it; you need water!
