Keeping your Skin Beautiful

Very few people are ever happy when their skin looks horrible, especially if it’s the skin on their face. They want to get rid of pimps, rosacea, bags under the eyes, and anything else that takes away from their appearance. If you’re dealing with skin that doesn’t look amazing, here are a few different tips that can help keep your face and skin looking great every day.

Did you know that the old saying about drinking eight glasses of water every day is actually pretty true. Your skin needs to be very hydrated in order to stay healthy and look amazing. In fact, drinking eight glasses of water a day may not be enough! Many nutritionists and doctors suggest dividing your weight in half and drinking that many ounces of water every day. Someone who is 150 pounds would need to drink 75 ounces of water. However, if you have certain diseases or illnesses, you should talk with your doctor before doing this—that much water can cause problems for those with kidney disease, for example. Also, water means just that—not soda, coffee, or tea!

You also need to be certain that you’re eating right. You want to get a good amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, so you’re going to want to be sure fish is in your diet somewhere. You also need to be sure to eat a good amount of vegetables, especially green, leafy ones.

Going to a day spa can be very beneficial, too. You should get a regular monthly facial in order to keep your pores unclogged and to prevent the buildup of dead skin cells and other debris. It also helps getting a facial peel once every eight weeks or so. This will help increase the amount of collagen in the skin and will battle sagging skin and wrinkles.
