Top Hairstyles for Men
2/26/2015

Looking for a new hairstyle? It might seem like you’re fairly limited if you’re a man with short hair. Even if you’ve grown your locks out, it might still seem like there’s not a lot you can do. However, there are some different ways a hairstylist can change up your look without making it difficult to manage.

The Prohibition High and Tight is a style that was popular during the 1920s, but it’s back in full force now. It’s a trendy look that is perfect for men with straight hair, regardless of how thick it is. The sides are cut very short, while the top has about an inch and a half of hair. If you’ve got wavy hair, though, this isn’t going to work for you. Curly-headed men, stay away.

If you’re a hipster (or if you’re a hipster in denial), you might already have what’s being called the Mainstream Hipster cut. This style has been worn by many different men, but it’s especially popular with those who want to stand out and look a bit more wild and crazy. Again, it’s not going to work for guys with curly hair, and those who have very thick hair may want to stay away from this cut, too. It features three or more inches of hair on the top, while the sides can vary from fairly short to medium length. You’ll want to gel it up pretty hair using a strong hold hair gel.

Nothing says bad boy like a cut done in the style of James Dean. This is for those who love their leather jackets and motorcycles yet still want to be presentable at the office. This one actually works for curly and wavy hair—it’s those with really straight or really fine hair who need to avoid this cut. It features medium length sides with a little more on top.
