Trending Hairstyles for Weddings
2/19/2015

If you’re getting married soon, you want to have perfect hair for your wedding. There are a lot of different styles you can go with, but you have to be careful—some brides pick a fancy hairstyle that just doesn’t look right for their face or their hair. That’s why you should always listen to your hairstylist—he or she knows exactly what type of style is going to look right on you. Here are a few of the currently trending wedding hairstyles that you might talk to your stylist about trying:

The half halo features a braid of hair that goes across the upper front of your face. It’s a half-hairdo: half of your hair is up, while the other half is left down in the back. The braid gives it a very different look, but it doesn’t really work for some. It’s also likely to be covered up if you’re wearing a full veil.

Having an undone bun is another half up style that looks a little less formal than some hairdos. It’s great for those who like the top knot but don’t particularly want that look for their wedding. What’s nice about this style is that small flowers like baby’s breath can be woven into the knot, and while it looks somewhat casual, it’s also very beautiful when done correctly.

For the bride who wants a style that’s playful and harks back to the Renaissance, the side braid is a great look. It’s particularly popular with those doing a Medieval wedding since it can be accented with a tiara, circlet, or a ring of flowers.

Finally, there’s the pinned back chignon. This look is simple yet elegant and gorgeous. It’s perfect for those with long or slender necks or for brides who want to show off every inch of their wedding dress. All of your hair is up, so it won’t cover the back, and it can be the perfect style to accent with a headpiece.
