Using a Home Facial Masque
3/24/2015

A home facial masque may not be quite the same as going to a day spa, but it can still give you many of the same benefits. These facial masques can be purchased at most health and beauty stores, and they’re very simple to use. It may not be as relaxing as having someone do it for you, but it can still feel great and make your skin really glow.

These home facial masques come in a small tube. All you have to do is squeeze them out onto your hand and rub them into your skin. The masques usually require about 10 to 15 minutes to dry. Once they do, all you have to do is wash them off and you’ll see that your skin looks much clearer and healthier.

What are the benefits of doing such a thing? These masques help remove blackheads, dirt, debris, and dead skin cells from your face. They also help nourish the skin. However, they’re not quite as good as the facials you’d get at a spa because the scrubs and masques used there often contain fresh ingredients or ingredients that are much more expensive than what are included in these off-the-shelf masques. However, if you want to keep your face clean in between spa visits, these are definitely one way of doing that.

Most at-home facial masques are creams that you apply directly to your face from the tube, but there are some that can be warmed up beforehand. These warm masques are very relaxing. There are, of course, differences between different brands of facial masques. Some contain different minerals. It can be hard to tell which one is the best. If you tend to have sensitive skin, you might look for something that contains aloe vera. If you’ve got a lot of acne, look for one with kaolin clay. For dry skin, go with a masque that features glycolic acid.
